New York Drive Roadway Improvement Project
Los Angeles County Public Works is making roadway improvements on a 2-mile section of New York Drive – Between Lake Avenue and Altadena Drive – in the unincorporated Los Angeles County community of Altadena. As part of the New York Drive Roadway Improvement Project (Project), the County is making enhancements along New York Drive to improve roadway conditions and mobility for pedestrians. Improvements include:
Reconstruction of roadway, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, & storm drains
Replacement of traffic signal equipment at five intersections
Realignment of the southbound traffic lane at the intersection of New York Drive and Pepper Drive
Construction began in January 2019 and is currently doing work in Phase 1, between Altadena Drive and Allen Avenue, through Friday, June 28. Phase 2 will begin on Monday, June 24 between Allen Avenue and Hill Avenue. Construction will last for approximately thirteen months.
